2019 Fantasy Contest:

Teleport is now accepting submissions for its 2019 Fantasy Short Story Contest.   The theme of this contest is traditional fantasy meets contemporary life.  For example, a troll librarian, a fairy stock car racer, a financial wizard who is an actual wizard and uses spells to control the stock market.  Some more examples include urban fantasy and Neil Gaiman’s American Gods.  If you’re in doubt, you can e-mail me asking if your story meets the criteria for the contest.

 

Rules:

–    Make sure your story is traditional fantasy meets contemporary life.

  • Maximum word count: 5000 words.
  • No previously published work, stories must be original and for the contest.
  • Please, no fan fiction.
  • Only one submission per author
  • The contest opens March 15thand closes September 15that 12:00 midnight.
  • Please submit a Word Doc. of your story to coffeeant1@gmail.com. Include your name, address and the number of words in your story.  Indicate that your story is for Teleport’s 2019 Fantasy Contest.

 

Because of the volume of entries we received for the last contest, there is now a $3.00 entry fee.  Send payment to paypal.me/coffeant.  Then, e-mail a Word Doc. of your story to coffeeant1@gmail.com, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you, acknowledging your submission.

 

Prizes:

First prize- $300.00 dollars

Second prize- $200.00 dollars

Third prize- $100.00 dollars

 

Prizes will be distributed through PayPal.  Winners will be announced September 30th.
