YA, angst, and “the feels” are tedious at times and really funny at others. But for those who are into high fantasy and YA, they’ll enjoy this coming of age book, which centers on Ha Jun, a 16 year old boy with an abusive father who gets him a quest that could make him a hero. Ha Jun travels with companions, one of whom is a dark elf named Windshine and they share romantic tension. The story is well written and engaging. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
